Club de l'Epagneul Breton of the United States®

Who We Are

The Club de l'Epagneul Breton was formed by a small group of  fanciers of the original "French Brittany Spaniel," who wanted to establish an organization in the United States to preserve the characteristics of the original breed and distinguish it from the American Brittany.

At a meeting held in a barn in Missouri on August 30, 1997, the group elected officers and wrote a mission statement outlining their goals. Three months later, the organization was incorporated and the work began.

Over the years, the membership grew and the club expanded its activities to include publications, regional affiliated clubs, annual national meetings, field trials, conformation shows and other activities.

Today, the club boasts hundreds of members and five regional clubs across the country.
